During the third quarter of 2022, the top five travel and local apps in Colombia demonstrated notable trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance according to Sensor Tower data.

Picap saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 23.1K at the start of the quarter and peaking at 28.3K towards the end of August. Weekly active users showed some fluctuations, starting at approximately 153.6K and ending the quarter at around 159K.

Airbnb experienced a significant spike in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 37.4K in mid-July before stabilizing around 25K towards the end of September. Active users started at 100K and saw a slight decline to approximately 94.8K by the end of the quarter.

Hopper: Hotels, Flights & Cars had a varied performance in downloads, peaking at 30K in late July and falling to 18.2K by the end of September. Active users saw a steady increase, starting at 81.2K and peaking at 111.5K in late July, before settling at around 91.9K.

Volaris maintained a steady download rate with a notable peak at 25.7K in late August. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at 21.7K and reaching a high of 41.6K in early September, before closing the quarter at 23.5K.

Despegar: vuelos y hoteles had fluctuating downloads, peaking at 23.2K in early July and declining to 14.6K by the end of September. Active users were highest at the beginning of the quarter, with 198.7K, and saw a slight dip, ending at approximately 182.1K.
